Legal
Terms of use
1. The app
UCA PDF Editor is a free PDF app for Android without advertising, developed by a private individual (the operator named in the imprint). Personal use is free of charge. Companies can get a company account (company data, stamp, employees' signatures) from the operator or an authorised partner under a separate offer.
2. Signatures, stamps and documents
Signatures made with the app are simple electronic signatures (eIDAS Art. 3 No. 10), not advanced or qualified ones. They do not meet the written form (§ 126 BGB) - for that a qualified electronic signature (§ 126a BGB) or a handwritten signature is needed. A company stamp has no legal effect of its own. You are responsible for whether a document, signature or invoice is suitable for your purpose. Read the legal notes.
3. Invoices and records
The invoice templates check the mandatory fields of § 14 (4) UStG, but you remain responsible for correct content, tax rates and numbering. The app is not an archive: keep invoices and business letters unchanged for the legal periods yourself (§ 147 AO, § 14b UStG, GoBD). For domestic B2B invoices the e-invoice rules apply (see the legal notes).
4. Share links
Do not share content you are not allowed to share. We cannot see what is in a link, but we remove links that are reported to us as illegal.
5. Company accounts
The company admin is responsible for the company data, for whom it invites and for the signing authority it gives (i. A., i. V., ppa.). The company accepts the data processing agreement (AVV) before inviting employees. Licence terms (seats, period) are agreed with the operator or the partner.
6. Availability and liability
The personal features work without our server. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. For the free app, liability for simple negligence is excluded as far as the law allows. Mandatory consumer law remains unaffected.
7. Changes, law
We may change these terms; the current version is on this page. German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
